AT&T Earnings Higher Than Expected
Loser smartphone upgrade costs and an increase in wireless data sales
for Apple Inc's iPad helped increase first quarter earnings for
AT&T. Dallas-based AT&T net revenue rose 5.2% to $3.58 billion,
or $.60 per share, from $3.41 billion, or $.57 per share a year
